The Healthcare Network Foundation was formed in 2007 to support the programs and services of the Healthcare Network. The Foundation strives to enable the Healthcare Network to meet its mission to provide a quality healthcare home accessible to everyone in our community. We thank you for your support. Steve Wheeler graduated with honors in business management from Keystone College in Pennsylvania and is a certified hotel administrator.
Prior to joining Healthcare Network, Steve served as Chief Development Officer for David Lawrence Center and Senior Director of Development for Lee Memorial Health System Foundation, where he was instrumental in the capital campaign to build the Golisano Children’s Hospital of SWFL.His extensive community involvement includes service on the Board of Directors for the David Lawrence Center, YMCA, Collier County Film Commission and Vice President of the Board for the Naples Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a proud graduate of the inaugural Leadership Collier Class of 1989.

Nina Gray
Professional Experience
She was employed for 21 years by nonprofits, first as the Avow Hospice Executive Director, where she was hired to launch this fledgling organization, and later as the Neighborhood Health Clinic’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Advancement Officer. Additionally, she is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in individual and group therapy to help clients challenged by life transitions.

Pat Read Botthof
Professional Experience Pat has had a successful career in hospital administration for over 40 years. For 23 years she worked within the NCH Healthcare System and for the last ten years she focused on women’s and children’s services. Pat has had a real and genuine passion for improving children’s services throughout her career.

Mike Ellis, President and Chief Executive Officer
Background: Healthcare Network President, Mike Ellis, has a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in both clinical chemistry and hospital and health administration.
Experience/Role: Mike has 37 years of healthcare experience including seven years as executive director of the Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, 15 years executive experience in Community and Migrant Health Centers, and 15 years executive experience in hospital administration. Mike joined the Healthcare Network in 2013 as CEO.
Board Affiliations: Mike is a former member of the Lee Memorial Health System Board of Directors and currently serves on the Lee County Mosquito Control District Commission.
