To ensure its mission of quality healthcare accessible to everyone in the community, the Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida has expanded its hours of operation to include Saturdays at its Marion E. Fether Medical Center, 1454 Madison Avenue in Immokalee.
Now through Saturday, Mar. 29, 2014, the clinic will be open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. to accommodate adult patients unable to visit the clinic during regular weekday hours. At this time, the service is limited to adult patients only.
Appointments will initially be required for Saturday visits until the numbers present a demand for walk-in service. New patients should bring a picture ID. Those wishing to apply for sliding scale fees should bring ID and proof of income. Call 239-658-3016 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
According to CEO Mike Ellis, the expanded hours are one way the Healthcare Network is seeking to meet the healthcare needs of seasonal migrant workers unable to visit the clinic during on weekdays.
Annually, the Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida provides primary care for more than 36,000 people in Southwest Florida (25,000 are children) at 13 medical and dental service locations including the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®.
