Sponsored by the NAACP Collier County Branch the festivities will include a parade themed “One Nation, One Dream," which begins at 11a.m. at Broad Avenue South and Third Street South. The parade continues on a two-mile route, turns down Fifth Avenue South ending with a celebration from 12-3 p.m. in Cambier Park.
Operated by the Health Care Network of Southwest Florida, the Care Mobile will take part in the parade and then provide free heath screenings during the celebration at Cambier Park.
"We are pleased to be a part of this celebration," said Healthcare Network CEO Mike Ellis. "Our mission to provide quality healthcare accessible to everyone in our community ties in well with this holiday and Rev. King's dream of equality for all people."
Derek Jones, Regional President of Wells Fargo, will preside as Grand Marshal and Dr. Kamela Patton, Superintendent of Collier Schools, will serve as Co-Grand Marshal. There will be live entertainment, food vendors, family fun, activities for the youth, and much more.
