American-born journalist and blogger Tish Jett will be the featured guest at a tea and book signing from 2-5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, at private home in Port Royal. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of her book that afternoon will benefit the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®, a program of the Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida. Jett has lived in France for years and is fascinated by the culture's life-affirming approach to aging. She has made it her mission to learn her French sisters’ secrets. Exploring how their wardrobe choices, beauty, hair, and diet regimens evolve, Jett shows how Frenchwomen know their strengths, hide their weaknesses, and never obsess about their flaws.
“Real style is built upon a solid foundation of informed intelligence, quick wit, and an impressive panoply of cultural references," she writes. "One must hold her own in lively conversation. The essence of beauty is to continue educating oneself and constantly to learn something new. Simply put: these are the keys to eternal youth.”
