Nationally recognized neurosurgeons Dr. John Kuluz and Dr. John Ragheb of Miami Children’s Hospital spoke to more than 40 Healthcare Network of SWFL providers last night as part of the network’s continuous efforts to keep its doctors on the leading edge. The topic of the presentation was pediatric concussions. “This was a great and rare educational opportunity for our providers,” said Dr. Scott Needle, pediatrician and Healthcare Network’s vice president of medical staff affairs. “We are fortunate to have forward thinking community partnerships that directly contribute to the quality of care we provide our patients.”
The presentation was made possible through Healthcare Network’s relationship with Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, who arranged the presentation especially for the network and who will also be providing Continuing Medical Education credit for providers who attended.
“We applaud what Healthcare Network is doing to make quality healthcare accessible to everyone and so we are happy to share our educational resources with them,” said Emad Salman, M.D., medical director of Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
