Support the work of Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida when Give Where You Live 30 Kicks Off on March 3rd, 2015
Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida invites the community to support its efforts to provide a quality healthcare home accessible to everyone by donating to the organization during Give Where You Live 30, to be held on March 3, 2015. Give Where You Live 30 is a county-wide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Collier County through online giving. The Community Foundation of Collier County and Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation are partnering to present Give Where You Live 30. Donations are accepted through Givewhereyoulive30.org.
As a participating nonprofit on Givewhereyoulive30.org, Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida will benefit from this initiative in many ways.
“The donations we receive on Give Where You Live Day help us do more to support our initiatives in Collier County and ensure that everyone has access to appropriate healthcare in our community,” says Steve Wheeler, Vice President of Development.
“Our goal is that by providing families with comprehensive managed care, our doctors will be able to follow their patients, ensure necessary treatment and provide preventative education that reduces long term health care costs”. Last year, Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida provided more than $1.9 million in uncompensated healthcare to nearly 36,000 patients (25,000 of whom were children). With support from Give Where You Live and the matching fund, they hope to be able to increase their support to upwards of 40,000.
Thanks to Community Foundation of Collier County and Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, Give Where You Live 30 features a $300,000 Matching Fund. Every nonprofit receiving a donation on March 3-4, 2015, receives a portion of the Matching Fund, which increases the value of every dollar donated.
