Vice President of Development Stephen Wheeler has extensive non-profit, public, and private sector experience. Prior to joining Healthcare Network, he served as Chief Development Officer for David Lawrence Center and Senior Director of Development for Lee Memorial Health System Foundation, where he was instrumental in the capital campaign to build the new Golisano Children’s Hospital of SWFL. Prior to that, he served as founding Executive Director of Cancer Alliance of Naples, Inc., Executive Director of the Collier County and Marco Island offices of American Cancer Society, and Vice President of Business and Member Services and Director of Tourism for the Naples Area Chamber of Commerce. “Stephen’s integrity and dedication to healthcare are well-known in this community,” says Healthcare Network CEO Mike Ellis, “As we serve nearly half the children in Collier County, his commitment and experience with the Children’s Hospital is a perfect fit with our mission of quality healthcare accessible to all. His extensive community involvement includes service on the Board of Directors for the David Lawrence Center, YMCA, Collier County Film Commission and Vice President of the Board for the Naples Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he served as Chairman of the Collier County Visitor Development Council and President of the Collier County Hotel and Motel Association. He also served as a member of the Economic Development Council Business Coalition and is a founding member of the Naples Visitors Bureau. Wheeler is a proud graduate of the inaugural Leadership Collier Class of 1989 and served as Class Chair in 1993.
|Healthcare Network Foundation Executive Director Lou Traina has a doctorate of education degree from Columbia University, Teachers College; and a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Seton Hall University.Lou has served the not-for-profit community since 1974, holding positions of staff psychologist, rehabilitation counselor, college provost, vice president of university advancement, and foundation executive director. He is an accomplished fundraiser, top executive, and community leader.For the past 12 years, Lou has chaired dissertation committees and taught doctoral candidates fundraising advancement and leadership classes at Nova Southeastern University. He currently serves on the board of directors for Leadership Foundation, Naples Area Chamber of Commerce and the Forum Club of Southwest Florida.|
Background/Experience . A certified mental health counselor since 1993, Board Chairman Haris M. Domond has experience in a variety of treatment settings including outpatient clinics, churches, Department of Children & Family (DCF) base settings, as well as in private practices in Florida. Mr. Domond is certified through the FDF Batterers Intervention Program (BIP) as a group facilitator, supervisor and trainer; and through the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) as a clinical associate. Fluent in several languages, Mr. Domond was instrumental in Collier County Counseling (CCC), the first multi-language BIP program in the county, focusing on domestic violence, substance abuse, anger management, and parenting programs in coordination with the Women’s Shelter and the Council for the Betterment of Collier and Lee County.

Mr. Domond has held several positions with Collier County Government and currently serves as Operations Analyst with Collier County Traffic Management Center.He resides in Naples, Florida with his family and has been a user of the healthcare system of Collier Health Services, Inc. for the past 15 years.Mr. Domond was appointed to the Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida board of directors in April 2012 .
